Who We Are

The Church At Westerly began on Easter Sunday 2005. Clark Rumfelt is its first Pastor, and he and his wife, Valerie, live in Dunn's Corners in Westerly. They moved to Westerly from Ancaster, Ontario, where they spent time working with a team starting churches.

Originally from Mississippi, Clark was a practicing attorney for over 20 years and Valerie was employed in denominational work. Valerie holds a B.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi. Clark holds a Master of Divinity degree in addition to his Juris Doctor. He is a member of the Westerly-Pawcatuck Clergy Association and the Westerly Rotary Club. The Church At Westerly belongs to the Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Business Association. The Church is affiliated with the Baptist Convention of New England whose website is www.bcne.net
